Customer Awareness Campaign

In February 2010, WPD launched its first customer awareness campaign in the wake of the latest price review (DPCR5) for the UK’s electricity distribution industry.
 
The six-week campaign, which was branded Power for Life, was designed to inform and to engage with the 2.6 million customers in South Wales and the South West.

A second campaign was launched in April 2011, and a third in February 2012 which was also communicated to a further five million customers in the Midlands.
 
The campaign incorporates:
 
  • A TV advert which  appears on ITV1 and on S4C in Wales;
  • Newspaper advertising – (in every regional daily, evening and weekly newspaper);
  • A four-page information newsletter (delivered to every home and business across WPD's region).
